Seeing a network error here ("Unexpected token '<'")? Check Security → Settings → Precursor on this zone. "Maximize Security" mode re-verifies sessions mid-flight, and a fetch() call can't solve the resulting interstitial Challenge. Switch to "Minimize Friction" (or scope it with a Precursor Rule on /api/*) to fix it — it's intermittent and unrelated to which scenario you pick.
